Entry checklist
- Be an adult legal resident of the 50 United States, D.C. or Canada, excluding Quebec.
- Purchase an eligible Duracell battery pack and upload the receipt, or use the no-purchase method in the official rules.
- Canadian potential winners must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question.
How to enter
- Buy one eligible Duracell pack and retain a clear receipt, or prepare the free-entry request by the stated postal deadline.
- Complete a valid game play using the receipt or the common code available during the final phase.
- Keep contact details current for the drawing and winner-verification process after August 30.
One valid pack can unlock the game
The purchase route requires one eligible Duracell battery pack and a readable receipt. The participant uploads the proof through the official site and follows the verification prompts before receiving access to a game play.
The pack, purchase date and retailer information should remain visible. An incomplete image or a receipt outside the promotional period can be rejected, so the original should be stored until the promotion and any prize claim are complete.
The free route changes after August 13
The official rules provide a postal alternative through August 13, with a later receipt deadline for mailed requests. During the final phase, from August 14 through August 30, the site makes a common code available for no-purchase participation.
These are not extra play allowances. The promotion-wide limit remains ten game plays, regardless of whether they come from purchase receipts, postal requests or the common code.
Every game play also creates a drawing entry
A completed game play adds one entry to the drawing. Specified Messi-themed Duracell packs, or the applicable promotional code, can add ten bonus entries, subject to the published maximum of 110 drawing entries.
The instant-win component distributes 105 merchandise prizes such as jerseys, hats, socks, bags and soccer balls. The later random drawing is what awards the signed Messi items.
Signed memorabilia carries the largest published values
Thirteen winners receive Argentina jerseys signed by Lionel Messi, each with a published value of $5,000. Ten additional winners receive signed soccer balls valued at $4,000 each.
Canadian potential winners have an extra legal verification step: correctly answering the mathematical skill-testing question within the permitted time. U.S. and Canadian response windows also differ, so notification should be handled immediately.
Important limits and checks
- A maximum of ten game plays applies across the promotion.
- Each game play provides one drawing entry; specified Messi packs or the official code can add ten bonus entries.
- The published overall prize value is $108,640 USD.
