Five ways to earn entries
The giveaway offers five methods: subscribe to the Game Grid Open email list, claim a free event ticket, join the official Discord, follow the event on Facebook and register for a Game Grid Open activity. Each method may be completed once.
Email subscription provides five entries, while each of the other methods provides one. The entries are cumulative across platforms. Registering for a paid activity creates the same single entry as registering for a free one and does not improve the odds beyond that stated amount.
Who can participate
Legal residents of the United States may enter, and the rules welcome all ages. Anyone under 18 needs permission from a parent or legal guardian and must be accompanied by that adult to claim a prize.
Staff, employees and volunteers of the sponsor, along with their immediate family and household members, cannot win. Because some platforms may contain staff accounts, an ineligible name drawn by mistake is void and replaced with another selection.
How the 33 prizes are divided
One winner receives 2,000 tix, two winners receive 1,000 each, ten winners receive 500 each and twenty winners receive 100 each. At the published rate of approximately ten tix per dollar, individual prize-wall values are about $200, $100, $50 and $10.
Tix are tokens rather than cash or store credit. They can only be exchanged for merchandise available at the event prize wall and cannot be transferred, sold, converted into money or carried over after the Open weekend.
Drawing and notification
All platform records are combined after the September 30 deadline, and the sponsor uses Random.org to select 33 winners on October 1. One person cannot receive more than one award; a duplicate selection is discarded and redrawn.
Notification depends on the method that generated the selected entry. Discord and Facebook winners may be tagged publicly, while email subscribers and event registrants receive email. The sponsor also plans to publish a combined winner list on the giveaway page.
Why attendance in Utah is essential
Prizes must be claimed personally at the Game Grid Open from October 2 through October 4 in Sandy, Utah. Another person cannot collect on behalf of a winner, and the sponsor may request identification before releasing the tix.
Any tix not collected and redeemed during the Open weekend are forfeited. Travel, lodging, admission arrangements and other attendance costs are not part of the prize, so entrants should account for those expenses before relying on the value of the award.
Official rules and source
Read the official source before entering, especially near the deadline or if the sponsor publishes an amendment.
