Mactac Creative Awards 2026: architectural and automotive project contest

Quarterly winners receive a €500 gift card and material roll; two annual category winners add a €1,000 gift card and trophy.

At least 70% of the submitted installation must use Mactac material. Vehicle or building owners cannot enter unless they are the applicator responsible for the project.

Mactac’s competition is aimed at professional applicators rather than general consumers. It evaluates completed architectural surface and automotive wrap projects through a weighted mix of creativity, public voting, visual transformation and overall presentation.

The applicant must be the project applicator

  • Be an adult resident of one of the numerous eligible markets listed across the US, Canada, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Submit as the applicator, not merely the owner of the vehicle or building.
  • Use at least 70% Mactac material and hold the rights needed for every submitted photo, image and visible person.

Prepare a complete project case study

  1. Choose Architectural for walls, windows, floors, façades or related surfaces, or Automotive for wraps, graphics, films and vehicle customisation.
  2. Complete the online form with contact data, company name, project title, description and the specific Mactac materials used.
  3. Upload five clear photographs and submit within the applicable quarterly window before the final December 30 close.

Two independent categories cover surfaces and vehicles

Architectural entries include decorative walls, windows, flooring, ceilings, façades and other transformed spaces using Mactac products. Automotive covers full or partial wraps, fleet graphics, decals, paint-protection films and interior vehicle customisation.

The categories are judged independently. Selecting the wrong one can make the project harder to assess, so the description should match the actual application rather than simply choosing the category with fewer visible entries.

Every quarter produces one winner per category

The awards run in three submission quarters, creating one Architectural and one Automotive winner in each period. Those six quarterly winners then become the pool for the two year-end category awards.

A quarterly package includes a roll chosen by the winner, a €500 gift card, social-media content tools and exposure on Mactac channels. The annual package adds a trophy, diploma, roll-up banner and €1,000 gift card.

The project must be documented as a transformation

Five photographs are required, and the judges allocate 20% of the score to the visible before-and-after transformation. Images should therefore show both the execution quality and the change achieved, not five near-identical close-ups.

Creativity carries the largest weight at 40%, followed by the public vote at 30%. Overall look and appeal supplies the final 10%, while creativity and then public vote serve as tie-breakers.

Entry rights and prior-year exclusions matter

The entrant must have permission for all photos, proprietary work and recognisable people shown. The sponsor receives broad rights to use the submitted material for business and promotional purposes.

Projects already used in the specified earlier Mactac award years are ineligible. The company limit also prevents a single business from flooding the competition: each applicator gets one entry and a multi-applicator company may submit no more than four.

Company limits, judging weights and prize contact

  • One entry is permitted per applicator and up to four per company when different applicators are employed.
  • Judging weights are 40% creativity, 30% public vote, 20% visual transformation and 10% overall appeal.
  • A potential winner who cannot be reached within three days may forfeit the prize.
