Two ways to participate
The sweepstakes route asks for a registration on the Golden Confetti site and gives one entry for the monthly prize pools. The contest route asks the entrant to answer what they are celebrating in up to 100 characters and submit an original story of up to 250 words.
The limit is one sweepstakes entry and one contest entry per person for the entire promotion. A purchase or QR-code scan is not necessary.
How the monthly drawings work
The sweepstakes is divided into monthly pools from May through October. Valid non-winning entries carry forward, giving an early entrant a chance in later drawings as well.
The prize tables vary by month and include combinations of sports or concert tickets, travel, cruises, household products, luggage and Macy’s gift cards. Entrants should check the exact pool and restrictions rather than assuming every prize is available in every month.
How the celebration story is judged
The contest is not random. Judges score emotional impact at 34%, authenticity at 33% and storytelling at 33%. The highest-scoring eligible submission becomes the potential contest winner after verification.
The story must be the entrant’s own work and comply with the content restrictions. It should not identify or depict another person without the required permission.
The stated grand-prize terms need careful reading
The rules describe the contest award as a $15,000 Macy’s gift card plus a $5,000 check each year for five years, while also stating an approximate retail value of $100,000. Those figures do not arithmetically match, so this page does not recalculate or reinterpret the prize.
A potential entrant should rely on the official document and seek clarification from the promotion administrator before treating the headline value as a guaranteed cash total.
Contact and verification
The contest winner is expected to be contacted around November 11. Winners of higher-value prizes may need to return eligibility, liability, publicity and tax forms within five days. Cruise or contest winners may also be subject to the additional checks described in the rules.
Missing the email or failing to provide a W-9 where required can lead to forfeiture and selection of an alternate.
Frequently asked questions
Is Golden Confetti one random drawing?
No. It contains monthly random sweepstakes pools and a separate judged story contest.
Can I enter both parts?
Yes. An eligible person may submit one sweepstakes registration and one contest story.
Do losing sweepstakes entries carry forward?
Yes. Valid non-winning entries carry into later monthly drawings.
How long can the contest story be?
The celebration story is limited to 250 words, with a separate short answer of up to 100 characters.
How is the contest winner chosen?
Judges score emotional impact, authenticity and storytelling rather than selecting the winner at random.
Why does Wynplay flag the grand-prize value?
The rules describe payments that do not add up to the separately stated $100,000 value, so entrants should read the official wording carefully.
