Year-long contest for existing Canadian mortgage customers

MERIX Mortgage Giveaway 2026: monthly payments up to CAD $4,000

Sixteen prizes reduce a winner’s MERIX mortgage principal by CAD $2,000 or $4,000, with selected substitutions possible when lump-sum limits have already been reached.

MERIX’s year-long customer contest awards mortgage-principal payments in monthly draws. The entry system is cumulative, so a ballot earned early can remain active for later prizes that have not yet been drawn.

Monthly ballots continue into later draws

After registration, a customer can complete the activity displayed for the current month and receive ten ballots. Those ballots are cumulative rather than restricted only to that month’s draw.

For example, a ballot earned before a later prize month remains in the pool for future prizes that have not yet been drawn, unless one of the entrant’s ballots already wins.

Bonus actions are useful but some are one-time only

The rules list four-ballot actions such as following approved links, confirming marketing email registration, selecting paperless delivery or joining contest reminders.

Communication and paperless preferences must remain active for the associated ballot to stay valid. Repeating a one-time action does not keep generating new ballots.

The monthly prize schedule alternates between $2,000 and $4,000

The year contains sixteen draws because February, April, June and November each offer two prizes. Other months generally offer one prize, with values set at CAD $2,000 or $4,000.

The payment is normally applied to the outstanding mortgage principal. When the annual lump-sum privilege is already exhausted, or the customer previously won during the current mortgage term, MERIX may use a Visa gift card of equal value instead.

Verification includes a Canadian skill question

Selected entrants are contacted by phone or email and must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance. They can also be required to sign and return a declaration and release.

Only one prize may be won per person. Automated entries, duplicate registrations or ballots beyond the stated limits can void the entire set of entries.

Prepare the MyMERIX account

  • Confirm that your mortgage and MyMERIX profile are active.
  • Complete the current month’s activity before its last calendar day.
  • Leave any ballot-generating communication preference active through the end of the contest.

Earn monthly and bonus ballots

  1. Register or sign in to MyMERIX and open the Mortgage Giveaway contest area.
  2. Complete the current month’s activity in full to receive ten monthly ballots.
  3. Use optional one-time actions such as approved website visits or communication preferences to earn the stated bonus ballots.
  4. Keep regular mortgage payments current while accumulated ballots continue into later undrawn prize months.

Mortgage-payment and ballot conditions

  • People without an existing MERIX mortgage cannot enter.
  • Ballots accumulate into future undrawn monthly prizes until the entrant wins or the contest ends.
  • A mortgage-payment prize reduces principal but does not replace the customer’s scheduled regular payment.

MERIX giveaway questions

Can someone without a MERIX mortgage enter?

No. The contest is limited to existing MERIX mortgage customers in Canada.

How many ballots does the monthly activity provide?

Ten ballots for the applicable prize month when the activity is completed correctly.

Do ballots expire after one monthly draw?

No. They accumulate into future undrawn prizes unless the entrant wins or the contest ends.

Does the prize replace a normal mortgage payment?

No. It is applied against principal and regular scheduled payments must still be made.

What happens if the lump-sum privilege is already full?

MERIX may substitute a Visa gift card with the same value.

Official rules and verification

The cumulative-ballot system, sixteen monthly prizes and mortgage-principal rules were verified in MERIX’s official contest rules on June 25, 2026.

The organiser’s current official terms take precedence if dates, fulfilment details or eligibility are later corrected.
