The deadline is written as 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on July 16, which means entries should be submitted no later than the end of July 15 to avoid missing the cutoff.

A Gone Reading tote completes the package. Based on the individual values in the rules, the combined approximate retail value is about US$384. The books and tote cannot be exchanged for cash, though the sponsor may substitute an item with something of equal or greater value if necessary.
Entry is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old. Employees of Penguin Random House and the specified related companies, agencies, immediate families and household members are excluded.
Each person may enter once. Using automated tools, multiple identities or repeat forms does not create additional valid chances and can lead to disqualification. The authorised holder of the submitted email address is treated as the entrant if there is a dispute.
The only entry route is the campaign form on the Penguin Random House promotional site. The entrant completes the requested information and submits it before the Eastern Time deadline; there is no purchase requirement and no postal alternative described in the rules.
Review the email address carefully before sending the form. It is the primary channel for winner contact, and incomplete, illegible or late entries are void. The sponsor also disclaims responsibility for interrupted networks or transmissions that never reach its system.
The sweepstakes opened at 12:00 a.m. ET on April 29 and closes at 12:00 a.m. ET on July 16. Because midnight marks the start of that date, the safest practical deadline is the end of July 15 rather than waiting until daytime on July 16.
One potential winner is selected at random on or about July 17 from all eligible entries received. The odds depend entirely on the final number of valid submissions.
The selected entrant is notified by email and has ten days from receipt to respond. Penguin Random House may require an affidavit of eligibility and release; failure to answer or return documents can result in forfeiture and a replacement drawing.
The prize is delivered by mail. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes, and the sponsor does not promise compensation for delivery delays, damage or loss outside the conditions stated in the official rules.
