One self-nomination or community-hero nomination
Twenty-five selected nominees each receive 600 Liquid I.V. packets, a prize the sponsor values at $500.
Ask permission before submitting another person’s name, email or phone number. If that nominee is selected, the sponsor contacts the nominee rather than the person who submitted the story.
The form permits a person to nominate themselves or another local hero. When another person is nominated, that person must be a U.S. resident aged 18 or older and must be willing to complete the winner-verification documents.
The entrant represents that permission was obtained before sharing the nominee’s personal information. A thoughtful entry should explain the community contribution without publishing private medical, financial or family details that are not needed for the nomination.
The rules state that a person may be entered a single time. Multiple friends submitting the same nominee do not create a larger valid entry total and may complicate verification.
The official form asks for entrant contact information, nominee contact details, a profile type and an explanation of what makes the person a local hero. Automated submissions and incomplete records are not eligible.
The first drawing is planned for around July 6 and selects ten potential winners from entries received by that point. The second is planned for around September 1 and selects fifteen potential winners from the valid entry pool described in the rules.
Each verified winner receives 600 Liquid I.V. packets, with the flavor chosen by the sponsor. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, and taxes or costs not listed in the rules remain the winner’s responsibility.
The sponsor may contact potential winners by phone or email. When someone else submitted the nomination, the sponsor contacts the nominated person, not the nominator.
A potential winner normally has 48 hours to respond unless the notice specifies another period. Eligibility affidavits, releases or tax documentation may also be required before shipment to a U.S. address.
