Entry checklist
- Be a legal U.S. resident aged 18 or older.
- Use qualifying Spruce savings actions for the current monthly period or mail the prescribed handwritten card and envelope.
- Stay within five entries per entrant per monthly period, regardless of method.
How to enter
- For account entry, create one new auto-transfer in the month and/or make qualifying savings deposits.
- For no-account entry, mail the required contact and birth-date details; one accepted card is worth five entries.
- Check the specific postmark and receipt deadline for the current month because mail processing continues after the online period closes.
Monthly saving actions can create entries
Setting up a new auto-transfer during the current entry period provides one entry. Transfers that already existed before the month do not count, and creating several new transfers does not generate several transfer entries.
Deposits create one entry for every $10 added to savings, whether the amount arrives in one transaction or several. The combined total from all methods is still capped at five entries for that month.
A handwritten card provides five no-purchase entries
The alternative route asks for full name, mailing address, phone, date of birth and email on a handwritten 3×5 card or paper inside an individually mailed #10 envelope. Each accepted mail entry is worth five sweepstakes entries.
Every monthly period has its own postmark and receipt dates. For the June period, mail is postmarked by June 30 and received by July 8; the July period uses July 31 and August 8.
The prize pattern repeats twelve times
For each entry period the administrator draws one $1,000 first-prize winner and three $100 second-prize winners. Across all twelve periods, that produces 48 awards and a published total value of $15,600.
The standard prize is a credit to the winner’s Spruce account. If the winner does not have one, the sponsor may choose to provide a prepaid gift card instead.
Entries expire after each monthly drawing
Only entries received for a given period participate in its drawing. They do not roll into the following month, so continued participation requires new qualifying activity or a new compliant mail entry.
Potential winners are notified by email or app push message and have two days to respond. Missing that short window can lead to disqualification and an alternate selection.
The published rules contain a one-day inconsistency at the end of the campaign: the overall period says February 27, 2027, but the final monthly table says February 28. Using February 27 is the safer deadline unless the official page is corrected.
Important limits and checks
- A newly established auto-transfer gives one entry; pre-existing or multiple transfers do not multiply it.
- Every $10 deposited into savings can generate an entry, but the overall monthly cap remains five.
- A potential winner has only two days to respond to the first notification attempt.
- The rules state an overall end date of February 27, 2027, while the final-period table lists February 28; use the earlier cutoff unless the sponsor publishes a clarification.
